摘要
Physical hazards are substances, conditions, or events that can inflict injury upon contact. They may be classified whether occupational or environmental hazards. Environmental risks, radiation, heat and cold stress, vibration, and noise hazards are examples of physical dangers. When evaluating a product's overall safety, it's almost always essential to go beyond conventional toxicological concerns and include physical attributes. Many products recalled worldwide for physical instead of microbiological or chemical concerns reflect the widespread awareness of physical risks. Physical hazards discussed in this article include foreign bodies, airway obstruction, magnet, and battery ingestion, thermal burns, and light and sound toxicity.
