Novel Cryogenic Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage Process Using Lng Cold Energy in a Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant

•Amine CCS process is an energy-intensive system, increasing efficiency penalty.•Cryogenic CCS process is proposed to reduce efficiency penalty of NGCC power plant.•LNG cold energy is utilized to capture and store CO2 in the solid phase.•The efficiency penalty is reduced from 14.34% to 3.51%.
