Successful Repositioning a Migrated Totally Implantable Venous Access Port Catheter by Biopsy Forceps
Indian Journal of Surgery(2022)
摘要
Spontaneous migration of the totally implantable venous access port (TIVAP) catheter is a common complication, and its mechanism remains obscure. Interventional radiological procedures, including the pigtail catheter and snare, are adequate minimally invasive alternatives to reposition the migrated catheter. We describe a novel technique for repositioning a migrated TIVAP catheter by biopsy forceps. The biopsy forceps may be an alternative to the pigtail catheter and snare.
