摘要
It is of great significance to study the factors affecting the geomagnetically induced current (GIC) for evaluating the influence of geomagnetic storms on the stable operation of power system. The magnitude of the GIC is related to many factors, among which the location of land and sea is very important. In order to study the influence of different locations of land and sea on GIC, nine different locations of land and sea are established on the basis of Quebec layered earth model. The distribution of GIC in different locations of land and sea is calculated based on Finite Element Method. Besides, the potential difference between two points at the same location is compared, the effect of different locations of land and sea locations on GIC is obtained. This can provide theoretical support for explaining the impact of different locations of land and sea on GIC, and also provides reference for evaluating the impact of geomagnetic storms on grid operation.
