Assessment of pharmacy technician job satisfaction and duties in ambulatory care pharmacy settings: A mixed-methods analysis.

Ambulatory care pharmacy technicians are highly satisfied with their positions and careers. Although technician roles vary within ambulatory care settings, the majority involve facilitating medication access in various ways. As these positions become more prevalent in pharmacy practice, it will be important to continue to capitalize on satisfiers and mitigate dissatisfiers to advance the profession and ultimately provide optimal patient care.
