摘要
The effect of adding arginine to the diet on the endogenous amino acids (AA) loss in pigs under heat stress (HS) was evaluated. Twelve pigs (25 ± 2.6 Kg) cannulated in the distal ileum were used. There were three treatments: thermal neutral pigs fed a basal semi-purified diet (TN-B); HS pigs fed the basal diet (HS-B); HS pigs fed the basal diet added with 0.20% free Arg (HS-Arg). Pigs were adapted to the diets for 5 days followed by 2 days of ileal digesta collection (12 continuous hours, 0700 to 1900). The endogenous loss of all essential AA was lower (P < 0.001) in the HS-B pigs than in the TN-B or the HS-Arg diet. These data show that HS negatively affects the loss of endogenous AA, and indicate that Arg in the diet helps to counteract that effect.
