Evaluation of the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters in catalytic pyrolysis process of sunflower oil using Al-MCM-41 and zeolite H-ZSM-5

•The pyrolysis of sunflower oil was performed in the presence of H-ZSM-5 and Al-MCM-41.•The apparent activation energies of sunflower oil using the FWO, KAS and Vy methods.•Ea of the sunflower oil pyrolysis significantly reduced in presence of the catalysts.•The thermodynamic parameters were calculated for all reactions.•The TGA-FTIR analysis showed presented deoxygenation levels during the process.
