摘要

•Bi2Ti2O7 photocatalyst was synthetized through a solvothermal route.•Bi2Ti2O7 was tested in photooxidation of glycerol solution under UV-vis light.•Dihydroxyacetone was the main glycerol photooxidation product.•Glycerol photoreforming was studied over Pt/Bi2Ti2O7 under UV-vis light.•Under visible light negligible amount of hydrogen was produced.
