Abstract
Thermoacoustic imaging (TAI) is widely used in biological tissue imaging, with high resolution and high contrast imaging characteristics. In this paper, a TAI method based on polarization control is proposed, which is verified by the simulation software CST. Under the condition that the polarization angles are 0°, 45°, 90° and 135°, respectively, the sauce tube model is irradiated with linearly polarized microwave excitation. When the long axis direction of the imaging sample and the direction of the electric field are the same, the amplitude of the TAI signal reaches the maximum. When the direction of the long axis is perpendicular to the direction of the electric field, the amplitude of the TAI signal is the minimum. Our study is helpful to realize the direct observation of electromagnetic field polarization direction and electric field strength in the field of microwave detection, and contribute to the overall non-destructive imaging of tiny objects.
