摘要
A 4-channel Ka-band beamforming RFIC (BFIC) for millimeter wave (mmW) wireless power transfer to body area networks (BAN) is implemented in a 65nm CMOS process. The BFIC incorporates a traveling wave distribution network (TWDN) to reduce silicon area and lower cost. Measurements show ~18 dB of gain per channel, P 1dB of 4.5 dBm, 320 mW (80 mW/channel) consumption, in 2.25 mm 2 of silicon area.
