Abstract
A new method for modeling the wind flow based on modeling using recurrent difference equations is proposed. The correlation function obtained by choosing the spectral density of the Kaimal model was the main characteristic of modeling turbulent wind flow. A model of a wind power plant based on doubly fed induction generator has been developed in Simulink as a source of voltage distortion and voltage fluctuations. The dependences of the voltage total harmonic distortion parameters from correlation function damping coefficient and standard deviation of the wind flow are obtained and analyze.
