Abstract
•PZN-9PT single crystals have been grown using the high-temperature flux method.•Monoclinic Cm and Pm phases were confirmed from Reitveld analysis and TEM studies.•Strain%, d33∗ and d33 obtained for [001] orientation is 0.3%, 2500 pm/V and 2100 pC/N respectively.•Pyroelectric coefficient p measured to be 11.31 × 10−4 C/m2 K.
