Parameters identification of synchronous condenser based on trajectory sensitivity analysis of parameters and particle swarm algorithm

Abstract
UHVDC Transmission is an effective method to promote new energy consumption and resource allocation, and accurate synchronous condenser parameters are the basis for analysis, operation and control of AC/DC hybrid power systems. This paper proposes a step-by-step parameters identification strategy for the synchronous condenser, which is based on the analysis of the trajectory sensitivity of the parameters. Firstly, a six-order practical synchronous motor model considering saturation characteristic is adopted, whose d-axis and q-axis parameters are decoupled. Then, according to the trajectory sensitivity characteristics of different parameters in different disturbances, the steady parameters and transient/sub-transient parameters are identified iteratively with the particle Swarm algorithm(PSO). Finally, the proposed parameters identification strategy is applied to the ikezhao-yinan UHVDC project. The research shows that the measured data and the calculated results fit well, and the proposed identification strategy is superior to the traditional single disturbance parameters identification method.
