•Effect of roof shape on wind vulnerability of roof sheathing panels is investigated.•Non-rectangular shaped roofs deviate from rectangular shaped roofs in wind performance.•Highest peak pressures are observed near the gable ends and re-entrant corners of the roof.•Critical wind angles of attack for different roof shapes are identified.
