Liquid Metal-Based Cathode for Flexible Ambient Li-Air Batteries and its Regeneration by Water

A novel free-standing cathode based on Ru-decorated liquid metal is fabricated for flexible lithium-air battery. It demonstrates excellent mechanical properties, superior catalytic capability and unique ability to be re-used by washing off the residual discharged products. Robust flexible performance and stable cycle performance are also achieved in pouch-type cells in ambient air, indicating great potential practical applications.
