Some factors related to the demand of information instruction and consultation services on medical examination and treatment at the Department of Cardiology and Diabetes, Tien Giang Central General Hospital

Tien Giang Central General Hospital is a Class I hospital, the last level in the medical examination and treatment system in Tien Giang province. The hospital's social work unit was established in March 2016. It is very important to identify a number of factors related to the demand for providing information instruction and consultation services on medical examination and treatment to improve the effectiveness of social work activities in hospitals. A crosssectional study conducted at Tien Giang Central General Hospital from March to October 2018. Research results showed that inpatients had a high demand for information instruction and consultation services about medical examination and treatment, in which the demand for guidance and support for medical examination procedures reached the highest rate of 99.5%. Some factors related to this demand were economic conditions, type of disease and number of treatment\year.
