Abstract
Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) is one of the most common valvular disorders in the developed world and is the most common cause of primary mitral regurgitation (MR). Studies have shown that MVP may be associated with an increased risk of arrhythmias, especially in patients who develop severe MR. Most of these studies had a small sample size.
