Current requirements of industry are directly linked to product quality assurance, which directly reflects the need to control products at every stage of production. These requirements are maximized in mass production and, in particular, in the automotive industry. To the use in automotive measuring systems there are increased requirements related to the application of the standard ISO 9001-2015 & IATF 16949 and in particular with the analysis of the capabilities of the measurement systems and the application of the MSA methodology.On the basis of previous studies the influential factors on metrological and operational characteristics have been established and a methodology for their improvement through software compensation of the result has been developed. These tests should facilitate the Air-electronic gauges (AEG) calibration process. Calibration can be used to evaluate their condition. By repeating the procedure, statistical information on the factors determining the quality of measurement and control is obtained. The evaluation is carried out by methods of analysis of measurement systems - MSA.The application of the MSA methodology makes it possible to assess the introduction of software compensation. It analyzes the metrological and operational characteristics of AEGs and defines the effect of using software compensation.
