A Survey on Default Prediction of Cloud Storage Service

The opacity promotes the extensiveness of cloud storage resources, while it wears the trust of users in cloud storage resources on the other hand. In the event of a default in cloud storage services, predicting the possibility of cloud storage default by dynamic comparison of storage system situation and time-varying storage SLA. This paper first reviews the research status of cloud storage services default and its prediction; Secondly, summarizes the classification of cloud storage malfunction and its prediction; Thirdly, analyzes the essential difference between failure/fault prediction and default prediction, and then clarify that the existing results of failure/fault prediction are difficult to directly apply to the prediction research of cloud storage services default; Finally, suggests on the research approach of cloud storage default prediction are given.
