Hygroelectric-photovoltaic coupling generator using self-assembled bio-nano hybrids

•The heterojunction was formed by self-assembly of bio-nano hybrids.•The hybrid generator achieved simultaneously harvesting hydro and solar energy.•Hygroelectric-photovoltaic were synergistically enhanced under moisture & light.•The hybrid generator was able to generate a high power of 122.9 mW/m2.•The device continuously generated power for 10 days with negligible attenuation.
