Fractional-order Model Identification of Cement Quality based on Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm and fractional-order PID controller

In order to solve the problems of low precision, large error and inconsistence of separator model in the cement production process, an identification method of fractional-order model based on improved particle swarm optimization algorithm was proposed, and a fractional-order PID controller is used to control the process. Cement particle size content is one of the most important indicators of cement quality, the separator is the key to determine cement particle size content. Therefore, the accuracy of separator model has become the most important concern. The improved particle swarm optimization algorithm selects the root mean square error between the actual output and the identified fractional-order model output as fitness function to evaluate the accuracy of the fractional-order model, and automatically adjusted the inertia weight and cognitive factor with the number of position iterations to identify the parameters of the fractional-order model. Finally, the error of fractional-order model shows that the established fractional-order model is more practical. On the basis of the fractional-order model, PID controller and fractional-order PID controller are used to control the Cement particle size content. Though the comparison of two controllers effect, it is concluded that the fractional-order PID controller has better control effect.
