摘要
Background: Wire-guided localisation (WGL) has been the Gold Standard for pre-operative localisation of non-palpable breast cancer for decades. However, WGL has disadvantages, including patient discomfort, anxiety, and pre-operative scheduling challenges. Savi Scout localisation (SSL) is a novel alternative, utilising an implantable wireless non-radioactive reflector. We present data from the first UK NHS Hospital to utilise SSL, comparing perioperative outcomes of WGL, SSL and a combination of both (W&SL).
