[Alternatives to wire localization of non-palpable breast lesions].

With the introduction of screening mammography, the proportion of smaller, clinically recognised tumors has increased. In cases in which lesions cannot be palpated, a guidewire or a wireless marker is placed. Wire localization is associated with several limitations, despite its status as gold standard.
