Growth of ultra-thin Cobalt on fullerene (C60) thin-film: in-situ investigation under UHV conditions

摘要
•The present work provides an insight into the structural and transport properties of Cobalt film on C60 and their correlation with the magnetic properties.•Transport studies reveal the Volmer Weber growth of Co while RHEED confirms the polycrystalline nature of the Co film.•In-situ MOKE measurements under UHV condition show the evolution of magnetism at the metal-organic interface and elucidate the formation of magnetic dead layer of several angstroms.•This study helps us in proper understanding of the interface of the top electrode and organic layer in Organic Spin Valve structures.
