Mesoporous carbon/titanium dioxide composite as an electrode for symmetric/asymmetric solid‐state supercapacitors

摘要
•Mesoporous carbon/titanium dioxide (MC/TiO2) composite electrodes are synthesized via the hydrothermal method.•The symmetric supercapacitor highest specific capacitance of 280F/g (10 mV/s) with 95 % capacitance retention.•The asymmetric supercapacitor configuration reveals high energy density (30.31 Wh/kg) than the symmetric configuration.•A fabricated symmetric and asymmetric device was able to illuminate a red LED for about two minutes.
