Synthesis, characterization and investigation of photochemical and in vitro antiproliferative properties of novel Zn(II) phthalocyanine

摘要
•A novel peripheral zinc(II) phthalocyanine containing cyclic two triazole moieties macrocyclic zinc(II) phthalocyanine was synthesized.•The photochemical, in-silico selective targetting of cancer related genes and in vitro antiproliferative effect of this zinc(II) phthalocyanine was investigated.•Singlet oxygen production properties of this phthalocyanine compound indicated singlet oxygen quantum yield (ΦΔ = 0.66).•In silico studies showed efficient and spesific binding capability to G-quadruplex nucleic acids.•Zinc(II) phthalocyanine compound showed antiproliferative effect in vitro on human non-small cell lung carcinoma cell lines.
