Abstract

•T-8 POSS was synthesized via a facile one-pot cohydrolysis-cocondensation reaction.•Cubic ViM-POSS was obtained by synchronizing the rate of MTMS and VTMS.•The number of vinyl groups in ViM-POSS can be tuned from 1 to 8.•Structural, morphological, thermal properties of ViM-POSS were evaluated.
