Large magnetocaloric and magnetoresistance effects during martensitic transformation in Heusler-type Ni44Co6Mn37In13 alloy

摘要
•Heusler-type Ni44Co6Mn37In13 alloy has been successfully fabricated by arc melting.•Microstructure measurements verify the ‘kinetic arrest’ of martensitic transformation.•Large magneto-functional properties are achieved around room temperature.•Large magnetoresistance benefited from the high sensitivity of transformation to the field.•Proper increase in TC of austenite would yield excellent magneto-functional properties.
