Researching Creativity in Information Systems Discipline

Creativity is an outstanding phenomenon. It plays a central role in understanding the prospect, development and economic growth in nowadays business practices. It is an important research field in many disciplines, while authors of literature reviews conducted a decade ago, emphasize how relatively little attention is devoted to the concept in Information Systems (IS) discipline. Intrigued by the role of creativity in today's business practices quests on how to compete, advance and grow, we are interesting in finding out if it is still a neglected researched area in IS discipline. Our aim is to understand how the concept of creativity is studied and outline how it was researched, from 2010 until today. By analyzing the identified papers from top-tier journals and proceeding of renewed conferences of the field, we specified future research directions and highlight an emerging gap.
