摘要
•Most oral squamous cell carcinomas from Fanconi anemia patients display FANCA and TP53 genes mutations.•Fanca-/- mutant mice display premalignant lesions in the oral mucosa.•Fanca-/-;K14cre;Trp53F2-10/F2-10 mutant mice developed oral squamous cell carcinomas with high penetrance and a latency of around 10 months.•Fanca-/- and Fanca-/-;K14cre;Trp53F2-10/F2-10 mice represent disease models for oral carcinogenesis in the context of a defective Fanconi anemia DNA repair pathway.
