Abstract
•Electrochemical biosensor for dopamine detection was fabricated on a gold substrate as an 11-Mua monolayer, a PEI layer, and an AuNP-GS-FAD layer.•Electrochemical detection was performed by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in 0.1 mol L-1 PBS buffer (pH 7.4) and showed a linear detection range that ranged from 0.8 to 8.0 μmol L-1.•The biosensor showed sensitivity of 1.25 μA/μmol L-1 cm-2, detection limit of 0.525 μmol L-1 quantification limit of 1.75 μmol L-1.•The analyses on human unira showed recovery values between 85 and 90%.
