Review of Cyber-attacks and Defense Research on Cyber Physical Power System

With the development of advanced communication components, conventional power system has gradually transformed into Cyber Physical System. Obvious interdependence are shown between the cyber side and physical side. As the supporting component for communication, calculation and control function, the cyber side plays an important role in system safe and reliable operation. Recent years there are many malicious cyber-attack events on Cyber Physical System, which cause spread concerns. In this paper, researches are summarized from the aspects of attack modeling, security evaluation, attack detection and defense. Existing methods are analyzed to clarify the essence of the CPPS security problem. Based on the characteristics and development trend of CPPS, the limitations of current researches are pointed out and feasible solutions are proposed to improve the research of this field.
