Graphene-Based UWB Antenna on the Polyimide Substrate

This paper deals with the realization of the ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna by applying the graphene-based screen-printing paste onto the polyimide substrate Kapton HN 200. The results show the suitability of use the graphene as a conductive material in high-frequency area, especially in the case of UWB antennas. The realized antenna several times exceeds the requirements of the FCC to the UWB antennas definition. Applying of graphene onto the polymeric substrate offers a promising solution for the ecological solution while the electrical properties of the UWB antenna are maintained. In addition, the long-term stability of the graphene-based UWB antenna have been proved by the accelerated aging tests. The paper also investigates the influence of the plasma treatment on the long-term stability of the UWB antenna.
