Po073 / #617 the importance of impulsivity: impulsive and compulsive behaviours as a predictor of quality of life in patients with parkinson’s disease undergoing deep brain stimulation
Neuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface(2022)
摘要
Impulsive and compulsive behaviours (ICBs) are recognised non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) with a prevalence of 6.0-18.4%, compared to 1.1-1.6% in the general population1–3. The Questionnaire for Impulsive-Compulsive Disorders (ICDs) in Parkinson’s Disease–Rating Scale (QUIP-RS) is a validated tool for quantification of ICBs in PD but its correlation with patient reported quality of life has not yet been quantified4,5. In this study, we quantify the correlation between QUIP-RS scores and pre- and post-operative quality of life (QoL) using the PD Questionnaire-39 (PDQ39) in PD patients undergoing deep brain stimulation.
