Phase Noise Robust Code Block Mapping for Sub-THz System with DFT-s-OFDM

This paper proposes the enhanced code block mapping scheme for beyond 5G wireless communication system with discrete-Fourier-transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform. The scheme is intended to notably improve the system performance in sub-terahertz (sub-THz) spectrum in the presence of phase noise (PN). The results of numerical simulation presented in this paper show that the proposed code block mapping provides performance gains of up to several dB in signal to noise ratio (SNR), especially for large user data transmission bandwidth. At the same time, the scheme has low implementation complexity, that justifies its potential adoption in the practical sub-THz wireless communication system.
