摘要
E-REDES, Portugal's mainland distribution system operator (DSO), is currently equipping its office buildings throughout Portugal with charging infrastructure. Many of these locations have insufficient grid capacity to accommodate the required number of charge stations. The same will happen for many grid connection sites, whether it'll be apartment complexes, dwellings, or office buildings. To prepare the grid for the increase of Electric Vehicles (EV), E-REDES started a project to test smart charging technology at its office in Setúbal, in collaboration with the Dutch company GreenFlux. With this project, E-REDES is learning how to promote smart charging as a network management tool and how it can be used in flexibility markets. The experience and data of this project are already being used in other projects and to study the regulatory framework that'll allow for the dissemination of smart charging on the grid.
