Abstract

•Acidic calix[4]arene (ACA) was successfully intercalated between the layers of LDH.•The LDH/ACA sorbent was used for packed sorbent extraction method.•The presented sorbent was easy to use and showed a high ability for extraction of NSAIDs.•The RSM methodology was used to optimize the experimental parameters.
