Abstract
The design of the safety restraint system to protect children in the bus is necessary to reduce injury when a collision occurs. This paper proposes a new type of bus seat that can be used for adults and children to reduce accident injuries. An integrated seat was designed to ensure the safe options for adults and children. The function of this seat can be raised and moved down with the belt system. The finite element model and safety analysis simulation of human integrated seat system were conducted by LS - DYNA and MADYMO software. Research results indicated that the seat structure ensures durability and protect the adults and children not to be thrown out. The injury analysis simulation results show that head injury, the negative shear limit force and the tension limit force of neck were reduced by 63%, 69% and 62%, respectively. This proves that integrated safety seat is not only significantly improved children injury on the bus but also satisfy the ECE R94 standard.
