More Data Analysis with Citizen Data Scientists?

This article first describes the concept of citizen data scientists and positions them in the landscape of employees who analyze data in an organization. It also contrasts the term with related concepts such as data democratization. Then, empirical research in job openings is conducted to identify whether the term is found there as well. Our findings show that companies still seldom look for people who already have skills of citizen data scientists but they continue to develop such people internally, still like when the term was first mentioned in 2014.
