Abstract
In a Spark Ignition (SI) engine, the study of significant parameters that influence spark plug deterioration is very critical. It allows the detection of faulty characteristics/behavior and displays the types of spark plug faults, allowing for a more thorough understanding of the health status of spark plug. Faulty behavior of spark plug was identified based on the breakdown voltage picked up in the secondary ignition signal, by analyzing the statistical features of the data gathered using global Wavelet Power Spectra (WPS). The overall power spectra of five spark plugs was studied, and the results revealed a high degree of precision.
