IOT Based Crowd Management Tool

Crowd management has become a priority for public safety and security measures. Our aim is to create an application that will inform people if the building they are going to is crowded or not, and if it is, which gate is least crowded to help combat further crowding. We will design a system that keeps a tally using people counters and streaming the data to the Ubidots IoT cloud platform, which then connects to our application. Using this dashboard, we can count how many people enter or exit a building and predict if the building will be crowded based on people’s previous behaviors. Although there are a variety of different approaches to track people such as cameras and GPS, we will use sensors. The methodology that we will use in our proposed system is the DSRM. We expect that our system will aid different sectors in managing crowds and help users save time and energy.
