Abstract
Accidents are the biggest life threat in our day-to-day life, among them accidents caused by people due to the lack of observation on dooring is being increased drastically, but with the help of electronic board digitalization in automobiles, we can design a safety door locking system to prevent happening of such accidents between vehicles, pedestrian, and passengers. In this paper, we propose a novel distance computing system using image processing; from this method the passenger cannot open their vehicle’s door from inside while the moving object is in the direction of the vehicle as well as near the impact zone. If the moving obstacle is detected within the range, the relay which is connected to the central locking system of the vehicle locks the door so that we will not be able to open the door from inside; if there are no moving objects detected within the impact zone, the relay releases the door lock; hence they can open the door. We have also field tested the proposed system with various test subjects as mentioned above. Now with the help of an ultrasonic sensor and metal detector sensor, the blind spots of the vehicle can be covered, and an alert system was designed respectively, so that it will alert the drivers and prevent accidents that occur in the intersections on highways. The whole system is controlled with the help of an advanced microcontroller.
