Abstract
•The influence of PAPR of baseband OFDM signal and the MB-OFDM UWB signal is investigated.•The DFT-spread scheme with CF scheme is applied to reduce the PAPR of the MB-OFDM UWB signal.•A combination of DFT-spread and pre-compensation scheme is introduced to improve system performance.
