An effective modified-adaptive controller for synchronisation of chaotic systems in the presence of parametric uncertainty and external disturbances

Synchronisation of chaotic systems has been finding its real-life applications and has drawn the attention of researchers. In this paper, the complete synchronisation between two identical identical memristors chaotic systems in the presence of parameter uncertainty and disturbances are considered. An available, conventional adaptive controller is used for this purpose, first. It is shown that the available controller fails to achieve the desired synchronisation. A modified adaptive controller is proposed then. The stability of the controller is proved by the Lyapunov stability. The proposed modified adaptive controller successfully achieves the desired synchronisation in the presence of external disturbances and parameter uncertainty. Four different types of external disturbance and up to 20% variation of model parameters are considered during simulation to validate the effective performance of the proposed controller.
