Link cooperation effect of cooperative epidemics on complex networks

•Proposing a novel mathematical model is to study the effects of the link cooperation effect on two epidemics.•The link cooperation effect promotes the epidemic outbreak size.•For the cooperate epidemics on ER networks, the phase transition is discontinuous for a stronger link cooperation effect, otherwise the phase transition is continuous.•The phase transition is always continuous on SF networks.
