Abstract
•Microwave-assisted synthesis method was first applied to prepare Zr-MOP material.•Amino-functionalized Zr-MOP was used for the photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI).•MW-ZrT-1-NH2 exhibited better photocatalytic activity for Cr(VI) reduction under visible light.•It is revealed that e- and ·O2– play major roles in the photocatalytic process.
