摘要
In this paper, a design of a radial bi-focal dielectric lens antenna is introduced for 24GHz radar systems based on Binary Fresnel Zone Plates (BFZP). The aim of the design is to use a single lens for both of radar’s transmitter and receiver in order to achieve a more compact, reliable and mechanically stable radar system while maintaining the high gain, scanning angle and performance achieved by using two separate lens antennas for each block. The design was created and simulated using Ansys HFSS and the results show acceptable gain of 26.5dB for a 10cm separation distance between transmitting and receiving antennas.
