摘要
This paper presents a path loss characterization of a wireless power transfer (WPT) network for deployment in unmanned aerial system (UAS) applications. The intended WPT system consists of two novel 4 × 4 phased array antennas of the same design integrated with a combiner/splitter network placed 1m distance apart. The path loss of the proposed system is characterized based on both simulation and measurement results which are presented in the paper. The antennas operate at ultrawideband (UWB) frequency ranges of 5.65−6.6GHz and 7.2−7.8GHz. The overall system achieves 22.7dB path loss with a maximum of 7.33% power transfer efficiency for 1m distance.
