福建省靠近北回归线,受季风环流和地形影响,形成了暖热湿润的亚热带海洋性季风气候,年平均气温17℃～21℃,70％的区域年最低水温≥10℃,年积温5000℃～7600℃,雨量充沛,平均年降雨量1400mm～2000mm,是中国雨量最丰富的省份之一,符合大多数鱼类生长需求.优越的气候条件、丰富的水资源和良好的生态环境,为福建省渔业发展奠定了坚实基础.
