摘要

•Several cyclodextrin polymers are used as clean-up materials for fish extracts.•γ-CD-HDI provided a CTX1B recovery of 42% for V.louti and 32% for S.dumerili.•γ-CD-HDI clean-up allows exposing cells to at least 8–16 times more fish tissue.•γ-CD-HDI clean-up provides 3.0–4.6 times higher sensitivities towards CTX1B.•γ-CD-HDI clean-up improves the screening of potentially ciguateric fish.
